Sharon Smith

Founder and Director

Sharon Smith is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years’ experience having spent 18 years in a public practice firm.

Sharon specialises in working with clients to achieve their goals through budgeting and forecasting, setting up and reporting on real time financials. She works with banks and finance companies to ensure a client has the best borrowing structure.

Sharon works alongside your current accountant to make sure your year-end accounts and tax planning run smoothly.
Sharon can work to build a strong understanding of financials with you and your team.

Industries Sharon has worked with include Civil engineering, construction, wineries and viticulture, engineering and retail.
Sharon loves business and working closely with clients to get their business running the best it can.

Kath Eaton

Advisor

Kath Eaton is a Chartered Accountant with over 25 years experience working in both Public Practice Accountancy firms and Corporate Accounting Roles.

Kath has worked with a wide range of clients across numerous industries providing advice and support in the areas of financial reporting, budgeting, cash forecasting, finance applications, implementation of systems and processes, mentoring and training of business owners and their teams. Kath particularly enjoys working closely with clients to formulate a plan to achieve both their business and personal goals.

Melissa Markham

Bookkeeper / Administrator

Melissa Markham joined the team at SDS Advisory in 2020, bringing her expertise as a meticulous bookkeeper and dedicated administrator. With a keen eye for detail, she ensures that every financial aspect is managed flawlessly, from start to finish.

Melissa’s proficiency extends to various software platforms, including Xero, MYOB, and Xero Practice Manager, as well as payroll systems like Xero Payroll, iPayroll, and PaySauce. Her commitment to accuracy and efficiency shines through in her work with clients, where she collaborates closely to guarantee precise accounts processing and reporting.

Specializing in diverse industries such as civil construction, medical, beauty, and engineering, Melissa brings a wealth of experience to the table. Whether working on-site with clients or in our office, she consistently delivers exceptional results, handling everything from creditors and debtors to month-end reporting and GST filing.

 Suzanne Hunt

Advisor

Suzanne Hunt has been working for nearly 20 years as an Assistant Accountant and Financial Controller.

Working alongside Chartered Accountants and Chief Financial Officers over this period, Suzanne has gained valuable experience assisting with Financial Reporting, Cashflows, Budgeting and Yearly Accounts.  She holds her Xero Certification including Xero Payroll and manages GST, FBT, PAYE, Asset Purchases and all other General Ledger requirements within a business.

Industries she has experience with, include Civil Construction along with the Lending and Financial Sector.

Jessie Saunders

Bookkeeper/Administrator

Jessie brings over 15 years of extensive experience in administration, bookkeeping, sales, and procurement to the table. Throughout Jessie’s career, she has collaborated closely with company directors, devising innovative systems to enhance productivity and efficiency. Additionally, Jessie is proficient in various software tools including Xero, iPayroll, MYOB, and Fergus.

Jessie has accumulated invaluable expertise in financial reporting, cash flows, sales and marketing, bank reconciliation, quoting, payroll, creditors, debtors, procurement, human resources, and other essential administrative functions within a business. Furthermore, Jessie has enriched her understanding through the successful completion of a Diploma in Business Management & Leadership.

Jessie possesses a deep understanding of various sectors, including electrical, plumbing, engineering, and marine fabrication.
